![]() ![]() In addition, the reboot is also bringing back layered clothing to the series, which has been one of the most heavily requested features by fans.Īs for vehicles, players will get to tune their rides thanks to a wide variety of expanded customization options. You’ll even get to choose from eight unique voices (four male and four female) for your character. Players will also get to customize their character, The Boss, to have anything from serious to extremely bizarre looks. In terms of customization, Volition says the game will have “the biggest customization suite” ever in the series. In a recent blog post, the Volition team shared more details about Saints Row reboot’s extensive character customization options, co-op play, and more. I'd better play APB Reloaded - even though this game is old, it's character editor is more honest to players that GTA Online's.With the Saints Row reboot being revealed only weeks ago, the development team has now taken the time to answer some of the most frequently asked questions. GTA was never about editing character's physical appearance (body, face) and it looks like GTA Online balances between giving players what they expect and cutting editor's capabilities into stupid "heritance" idea. I've created my lady there and I like how she looks, but I achieved this result after a few small, sensitive changes. I miss Saints Row's editor very much and don't understand how Volition (with all the love and respect to these guys) could create Agents of Mayhem without this great feature. These series' editors have their positions in most of the lists of "Best character editors". People come to this game to customize their characters and experience GTA gameplay as their own character. Underrated? UNDER-FUCKING-RATED? Are you serious?Ĭharacter creation and customization was the FIRST thing Saints Row is known for. It's likely just my personal taste that makes me see GTA's clothing choices as very limited and poor, but GTA's customization isn't enjoyable to me at all. I could never ever agree that the clothing makes up for your face in any other way than giving you plenty of masks to cover your face with. I think it'd be cool, but I understand why it's the way it is. I understand that'd be a lot of work though. In both Saints and GTA almost all clothing options are glued to your body. Something both games struggle with that I'd like to see is more wavy clothes. Not that I'm against either one, but that still leaves so much ground to be covered. Feminine clothing gets the worst of it, either being hypersexualized or super conservative, there's almost no in-between. I like GTA's gameplay a lot, and I think it gets accessories right, but most clothing in that game either cover the same bases as other clothes or are just so boring. I can if I want, but that's just two of many MANY different options. I never have to look super formal or like a super soldier. ![]() I like the style that comes with the clothing options in SR. It's even worse how often GTA's clothing makes other clothing unwearable, wether it's the the game redistricting what you can wear, or if your top looks horrible with your bottom. I will say that GTA V has lots of clothing options if you always want to look like a soldier or if I want to dress formal, but there's not many other styles. Instead you are able to pick your clothing's color. GTA V's clothing options are almost all reskins, Saints has very few reskins. If I want to kill with cuteness, come straight from a 80's movie, or if I just want to look casual, Saints will always have my back. My biggest wish for GTA 6 is some more freedom in character creation, but I won't whine and cry if it's still bad, because I know Saints Row will always be there if I want to make a badass gangster. It also helps that Saints has so many good clothing options, while GTA, not counting re-skins of the exact same stuff, has very few and very poor choices in clothing, especially if you want to wear something more feminine. ![]() GTA online has all of 1 body type and the most boring and restrictive face editor in gaming. You could make your character one of the coolest characters in gaming, or you could make them a hilarious barely human glob of features. Saints gives you so much freedom, even 3 and 4 that are more restrictive compared to 2 (I never played 1 can't comment) are so great. GTA definitely has places where it shines, but character creation and customization is absolutely some of the most pathetic I've ever seen. ![]()
